That's up there as one of the dumbest arguments you could make. You kill off skin cells every time you scratch an itch. You kill off brain cells every time you drink alcohol. Just about every thing you do will pick off a few living cells in your body and not once is it called murder.

You'll find that this argument is not pursued by the pro-life crowd at all.

I think his point is that if cells die all the time why isn't it called "murder".....well most die naturally......but, of course, the ones being pointed out are intentionally harmed so perhaps it should be regarded as such.......that is the philosophical issue after all, intentional harm!

When you scratch an itch, you are intentionally scraping off skin cells. When one drinks alcohol, he or she is intentionally killing brain cells.

I guess bleeding or cranking one out is murder.

Does that mean I'm now guilty of mass murder for using mouthwash? Or brushing my teeth? Or hey... Eating meat for that matter? If your definition of murder is really that broad then we should all be serving millions of life sentences.

Nope, cause, that brings up the next quandry.......necessity. Is it necessary to kill germs and bacteria? Yes. Eat meat? Well, I ain't going into the veggie argument.......but is it necessary to kill an unborn fetus? The question has its limits which should be the only reasons..........

Ya know peoples I hate the abortion argument for the simple reason that pregnancy beyond rape is entirely preventable in the 21st century.......yet, it still causes contention because some people like to be unintentional.........
