Actually, it’s those of us with full-time jobs that will be paying students to attend college who have no skin in the game.

I can hear it now, “This is too hard, I’m gonna just drop out and ask Bernie to give me rich peoples’ money to live off of. Especially since I don’t even have to pay back any student loans. It’s all Free!!!”

Exactly! Berine will make sure every Billionaire pays his fair share. I mean why... Tell me Why... is that a bad thing. What go***amn it does everyone hate about the bloody idea?!

If billionaires paid their fair share, they would be paying less taxes, not more. A fair share would be a flat tax rate where everyone pays the same set percentage of their income. But the US has a graduated tax rate where a single person making less than $9,525 is assessed a 10% tax rate while people making over $500,000 are taxed at 37%.

What Sanders wants is for the rich to pay an even higher percentage of their income while poor people pay nothing. That’s not paying your fair share.

a flat tax huh? so folks making 30k a year (15 bucks an hour) need to pay 3000 bucks (which hurts them) while someone making 300k a year pays just 30k and not even a drop to him?.... fail.

You must be one of those millennials who grew up expecting to be a winner at everything no matter how hard they try.

With few exceptions, people making a lot of money had to put in a lot of effort and take some risks to get there. Do you think it’s fair for a Doctor who did at least 7 years of college + several years working 80+ hours a week as a resident earning only $30k while paying off huge student loans to then have to pay 3.7 times as much tax as the guy who dropped out of high school and, thus, can only make minimum wage?

The doctor should not have student loans. Why are they paying for school when all of society benefits?

You may be physically old but your logic is juvenile at best.
Doctors have to get an undergraduate degree plus take a bunch of pre-med classes before they can even apply for med school. It’s a tough career to get into and requires, not just a lot of money up front, but a lot of time. You have to really want to be a doctor to go through all they have to to make that $300k/year salary. That’s why there is a shortage of qualified physicians, especially in rural areas.

If there isn’t the promise of making enough money to compensate for all the time, money, social life, family life, etc that they had to sacrifice, there won’t be enough of them to provide that “free” healthcare leftist politicians are promising you.

Your “they shouldn’t have to pay” fantasy is childish.
