No, it won’t. I usually put myself off about once a year for spending too much time here. This is my third account-lol

I think taking a break from here ever once in awhile is healthy, I find that I spend a lot more time on here than I'd like to admit.

If you want to find the original, you could try typing keywords into the search bar. 🤷‍♂️

I have no clue if most memes are reposts, because I haven't been here long enough to see most of the material. It's hard to know if you've reposted if you haven't seen the original.

At any rate, it wouldn't be a bad idea in my opinion to allow reposts of very old (over 2 years) memes. I hope you post it to another stream though 😃

I sure would like to see it, though. I honestly didn’t knowingly copy any meme. I saw the saying elsewhere and charged it and put it on the old guy template. Oh well....

You should post the link on here. I see jokes all the time and post them on random templates I find suitable so that’s unlucky.
Also Triumphs idea is great, for older memes being being allowed as a compromise, but I was thinking 12 months. But all said and done all memes are technically reposts. If you look up the definition of meme anyway.

Yes I agree. I just find it hard to believe that I supposedly made an exact copy of anything but I suppose it could happen:)

I can safely say, I’ve logged in every day since I joined and I’ve seen at least 25+ memes that are straight up reposts of something that’s come before it in the fun stream. Same template and wording just maybe different colour/size text. Some have done really well again some haven’t at all, if it’s really funny and people see it who haven’t before then why shouldn’t it be able to make them laugh too?
How can they ever safely say that anything posted hasn’t come from 5-6 years worth of thousands of memes a day?! They need to amend the rules slightly or review them.

It was funny when I read yours and it had a decent amount of upvotes. It’s sad that on a meme site, a user like yourself can’t just sit there and think up a joke, to match with a template without worrying if someone has had the idea before.

It happens...unfortunately. I dont understand the logic in what gets unfeatured, I've had some that truly were innocent, and then bam, it's gone. Even one that they said was an attack on another user, and it was nothing like that. I guess merely putting someone's username in a meme without permission is an "attack". The person even commented and said it was funny. Whatever, not worth being upset about, I upvoted your meme before it was killed so you at least got my upvote :) cheers
