Harvard study last year found CNN, MSNBC, NPR (And maybe WaPo and NYT, can't remember for sure) all between 87- 94% negative coverage on Trump. Fox news was 53% negative stories on him.

WaPo definitely had to be in there. They're so badly left-biased, and recognized as such (especially after Covington), that the regressive leftist writers on 'Supergirl' tried to fly to their defense by writing a line about them being such a bastion of good journalism.

(I can't remember the exact line or episode and don't really want to subject myself to digging through the episodes again just to quote it directly.)

"Journalism dies in bias"

That's hilarious. Such brainwashing. Do they think people fall for that? It's like these people still think everyone is a boomer with 4 tv channels and no internet believing everything they are told.

Didn't one of the Watergate reporters just make a fool of himself writing a book pushing the Russian collusion angle?

Indeed, 'Supergirl' is good at attempting to brainwash people, if nothing else. In their crossover event last year (the nazi parallel world crossover), they even tried to directly claim that a meritocracy was a nazi ideal, thus heavily implying that a meritocracy is an /evil/ ideal.

I honestly couldn't say about the Watergate reporters, haven't heard about that, yet at least.

Holy cow! That's bold as hell. "The best person isn't the one you should pick, go with identity politics cuz nazis with identity politics are bad"

That makes my head spin. What happens to a society where the most qualified are shunned in favor of mediocrity or favored groups for arbitrary reasons. We're seeing it in education now, which is why an Asian group is suing Harvard because they are being denied entry despite higher grades then others. Alot of whom drop out and are saddled with debt for schooling they never finished because they were in above their heads to begin with in the name of 'fairness' or 'equal opportunities' It's so self defeating to society.

Actually, it was a book by Bob woodward but it was about the Trump presidency and it's inner circle. I remembered it wrongly as a 'Trump is Putins puppet' type book. But it did have alot of anonymous sources and disputed facts.

About the Asian group suing Harvard, yeah, and the left's "defense" against them is that making things fair for the Asians would make things better for whites, so they shouldn't do it.

Oh and for the record, the rough idea of the Supergirl quote about WaPo (I didn't look it up, just vaguely recalled the gist) went something like this:

"This feels like REAL journalism, like Washington Post, or Woodward and Bernstein."

It was SUCH a clumsily shoehorned-in line, such obvious PR propaganda for WaPo. Hell, come to think of it, it was probably paid product placement.

I have to admit,i didn't realize it was that bad.

no no..
you misunderstand.i appreciate that.i am just saying avoid taking numbers from an op-ed..ANY op-ed as being statistically relevant.

but I did go look it up and I was surprised how high it is.
92% or 78% is kind of a mute point, and not worth fighting over.
both numbers are too high.

I stand corrected my friend.

Me neither, much. And not at all in the Obama era. But the extremism of that study stuck with me when I heard that. Especially since CNN, unlike MSNBC, purports to be unbiased and neutral. Fox certainly isn't perfect but in the coverage aspect on Trump, they actually are closer to being fair and balanced in their coverage of the negative and positive of Trump, if not the rhetoric of their more rabid cheerleaders. At least they have anchors that lean in both directions. I remember Fox back in the Dubya years, they REALLY sucked then.

I'd be interested to know what it was like during the Obama era. I'd think the numbers would be close to the same except refering to positive stories, but idk, wasn't paying attention.

I believe that. Neither did SNL or lateshow hosts.

Did you watch Fox? How tough were they on him? I'd imagine like 60- 70% negative.

I see. Oh, no network has ever been as critical to a prez as they are to Trump, altho I think Enoch said they were really bad to Nixon.

I think many were scared to criticise Obama because they either wanted to celebrate the 1st black prez or they were afraid of being called racist. It was disgusting tho. Especially how he treated the press, especially Fox.
