I'm just wondering what harm it might do if you just say "hi" to him? You might not get an immediate response, but at least he'll know you're nice and approachable. I know rejection sucks, but if you don't try, you'll never know. And that's the way you can see who is real and a fake. I hope that makes sense.

It's ok, I understand. But maybe if there's a time when your eyes meet, just say "HI", and see if you get a response. Like I said it will let him know that you are nice and approachable.
