Believe it or not, but in the Netherlands we had a commercial for smart phones in which friends stormed a house (like you'd do when you fear somebody is in a very bad state) because they hadn't heard from him for 15 seconds (because the cell phone of that guy fell under the sofa).

It's a little sad that I could actually see that happening in real life.
Yeah.... I don't wanna sit on a pink cloud when I think about the past (like a lot of people do), but when it comes to smart phones, THAT is something that makes me long for the past.

Yeah, I would agree. I often find myself in the company of people too engrossed in their smartphones, to even look up for a minute to engage in a real life conversation.
And now talking about smart phones (and indirectly social media), I also remember how people missed the point in this meme >> imgflip.com/i/2qx2et (It was NOT a meme against Donald Trump, I tell ya).

Yeah I remember 🤣 when it comes to Trump people can be a little joyless. Whatever peoples opinion about him a joke is a joke. If you had used anyone elses name in that meme there wouldn't have been a problem.
Now it was part of the joke, as the meme was intended to make you think it as an anti-Trump joke, until you read the second sentence making you find out it was actually a pun to social media.
