WHY CALIFORNIA SUCKS!!!

For those who keep expounding how great California is, I would like to introduce a few facts. Trigger Warning!!
Ignoring earthquakes, mudslides, droughts, and forest fires, here is the data;

1. California is ranked as the state with the lowest overall quality of life. (Ranked as 50th).
2. California has the lowest credit rating of all states and is ranked as 45th in fiscal responsibility.
3. California primary schools (K-12) are ranked as 44th. In 1968, it was ranked #1
4. California ranked last in urban air quality and 45th in "low pollution health risk.
5. California was ranked 49th for cost of doing business, and 50th in business friendliness.
6. California ranked 49th in voter participation.
7. California has the slowest and most expensive high-speed rail line.
8. In the last 20 years, 30% of people earning $70,000 - $200,000 have left the state.
9. California is ranked 49th for infrastructure quality.
10. San Francisco has banned plastic drinking straws but gives out 4.5 million syringes each year for free.
11. California has been ranked one of the least free states at 48th by the Cato Institute.

There are some things that California leads the nation in.

1. California has the highest number of cities to declare bankruptcy.
2. California has the most people receiving welfare. (Over 1/3 of all welfare recipients in the U.S. but only 13% of the population)
3. California has the largest number of people living in poverty. (Almost twice the number of the next state)
4. California has the greatest income gap between the highest and lowest earners.
5. California has the highest number of homeless people of any state.
6. California has the highest housing costs of any state.
7. California has the largest number of illegal aliens.
8. California has the highest income tax rate of any state (top bracket is 13.5%)
9. California has the highest sales tax of any state at 7.5% and some cities have as high as 10%.
10. California has the second highest gasoline tax and the fifth worst roads.
11. California has the third highest electrical rates in the continental U.S.
12. California has the largest government debt of any state.
13. California has the highest debt-to-income ratio in the country
14. San Fran actually has the first "POOP MAP" helping people avoid stepping in human feces.
15. California has the highest number of sexually transmitted disease (STDs) cases in the U.S. with a 45% increase in the last 5 years
16. California is the only state where having unprotected sex without telling their partner about HIV-positive status is no longer a felony.
17. California is the only state to tax drinking water.
18. California has eight of the 10 most polluted cities in the country.
19. California is the only state that restricts water usage by citizens. By 2022, they will restrict water usage to 55 gals/person/day.
20. California is the only state that requires all new houses by 2030 to have 50% solar at a cost of $20k to $50K per home.

A good thing? Yeah, except, of the over 4 million needles given out, less than 1 million are exchanged and that is just in San Fransisco. Guess where the other 3 million needles are. You want your kids walking on these streets?

The Golden State is fast becoming Americas Shithole.

I was thinking the same - high numbers due to high pop. But that really doesn't change the point for me. High density living is a nightmare to me and many of their problems are due to it.

I think giving out needles is enabling. If the species was endangered I might be more concerned about saving lives, but nothing useful comes from my caring more about them than they do about themselves.

I didn't know about that solar requirement. I knew about the poop map. But requiring people to have solar? Jeez. Why would anyone want to pay to install solar panels on a house that the person's going to move out of to go to another state?

I'm not sure it still has the best amusement parks now...Orlando is better IMHO
