I think it depends how you look at it.

E.g. if you evaluate it by visuals, sound design, production design, cinematography, etc. you'll get a different answer than if you evaluate it by story, character, consistency, and how it fits in with Star Wars. 😊

Also, it depends on what Rian Johnson's actual goal was with the movie (which still isn't clear to me). If he was deliberately trying to mess with the franchise, you could say that goal was successful, and so in that sense, it didn't "suck" (because he succeeded if he was aiming for that).

I appreciated that it dismantled the trainwreck that was Force Awakens. But it went a little too far in that regard. There were great moments in TLJ but there was also a lot of cringe. At least it was bold. Bold is always divisive. Force Awakens was way way too safe.

Yeah that's makes sense. Plot was bad and so were the characters( who kills off admiral ackbar and let's leia float thru Oscar like nobodies business?) but the cinematography was good and the sound effects

Every Star Wars after the Return of the Jedi was pathetic trash. Even the 1st 3 weren't great but were decent for their time. The new ones are all sjw feminist propaganda. Just look how they shat upon Luke. May everyone involved in it burn in hell.
