Maybe some patriots caught wind of his comments about blacks, and how his New Deal was actually a trap to destroy their family units (which the strongest at the time) and "have those n words voting Democrat for the next 100 years" ~ FDR. They paid off the Women through Welfare with the condition there wasn't a man in the house, and told them the Govt would be there new providers. In just a generation, the State became the higher valued male in the Black community, the woman became bitches, the men said screw this, and the children grew up fatherless and struggling, yet still entitled.
And here we are, with epidemic broken homes, single parents, and crime in the Black community. Not to mention 50% of Blacks conceived are aborted. You're proud of that right? Yea... FDR is so popular, Republicans bad.
Maybe those Republican, despite your generalized and bias view of history, where continuing their mission of Liberty for All and were doing what it took to keep America from becoming a Divided Welfare State with a permanent underclass who were trained to vote for their own enslavement. Maybe they just wanted to stop where this all led. If only we had the internet back then, they might have won. However, they were out matching in the information game, until now.
So you're AOC's interpreter? I think she said exactly what she meant. But if she didn't, she just illustrates why leadership should never be picked from a casting call. People don't watch her because she is smart, or good at what she does, or because she has a clue about the bullshit spewing out of her mouth. People watch her for the next inevitable train wreck, to watch her drive the DNC into the ground, and to laugh at how stupid people who think like her sound when pretending to be experts.
