Cohen has demonstrated that he will say whatever it takes to serve his interests. He received multiple criminal referrals for the lies he told Congress the last time he went to them.

I agree with you in part, that Cohen had more "knowledge" of the situation, but his credibility is shot. He's lied each time he went before Congress. And I'm not a fan of Trump the man. I do however agree with "some " of his policies. As a man I think he's a douchebag and a narcissistic hedonist, like anyone else who had his upbringing. Trump wants all the fisa warrants made public. Why is the UK and Australia pleading for him to keep them sealed? They were a part of this and know it. I doubt we'll ever know to what extent, but it seems our intelligence agencies used them to do what was illegal for our people to do.

Cohen didn't want to go to prison, so he did what he could to prevent or minimize that. That included turning over actual hard evidence - records, paperwork, documents which were not spur of the moment lies and which might be confirmed or contradicted by other materials the investigators turned up separately.

Trump's upbringing is not an excuse for vile behaviour and sociopathic narcissitic tendencies. Our prisons are full of people similarly mentally diseased, except they were not of such privileged ubringings.
If anything, having been so privileged, he should know better. No excuses. He's not from a broken home out in the slums. There's a reason people who act like him are described as acting without class. I grew up visiting family friends in Jamaica Estates, never saw any psychos like Trump roaming those streets.

Whatever they may be, to think a man tearing or threatening to tear up treaties and alliances on a whim is kowtowing to the UK and Australia on them is ridiculous. His own Attorney General refuses to make the Mueller report public. That is more pressing than some warrants about something that no one says what they are so thus do not matter to anyone.

Cohen lied...a lot. There's no reason to be cherry picking which lies you want to believe. He lied the first time because he didn't want to go to prison...ok. I suppose he lied the second time because he was mad about going to prison and wanted to take his old boss down. Either way, his testimony is shot. I find it disingenuous to accept his claims against Trump as truth...just because we don't like Trump. He comes across as a disgruntled employee.

I'm not sure what Grind is getting at with the warrants, but no one that I know of is talking about tearing up treaties. Right now the talk is just that...talk, but the buzz (yeah I know...don't say it) is that the warrants were illegally obtained, with help from foreign governments that would be embarrassed if that info came out. I want to know what they contain as well, and even Trump is calling for them to be released. He's seen them. I believe that Trump and the Senate Republicans were waiting on the Mueller investigation to come to a close so that they could pursue this independently without claims of obstruction being levied against them. Nunes has already hinted at this. We'll see.

I don't attribute Donald's wealth to his actions, only that it is more easily done when wealth is involved and that people of wealth get to behave more egregiously than those without, without worry of consequences. I'm just not surprised...Billionaire playboy acts like billionaire playboy. That's a non-story to me. His morals can be attacked all day everyday, but to what end? Someone else will just talk about someone else's morals as a deflection and nothing is ever resolved. Politicians act like politicians....again, this is an old story and is boring today. I think America has moved on from such expectations from their leaders. I haven't, but I just don't see anyone with outstanding morals run.

Sounded like I was excusing Cohen or minimizing what he did, now that I'm semi awake I see I erred. "I was lying yesterday but not today" is not prime witness material, plus he is a lawyer, so lying is part of the trade. He could have documented paperwork in a manner to protect himself in the future if need be. His sudden finding of his 'patriotic' heart months ago was about as sincere as anyone on death row.

The Iran Nuclear Deal, TPP, talk of pulling out of NATO, cancelling joint military drills with S Korea in exchange for nothing....

If there's anything Trump has no problem with it's keeping mum. Fisa warrants about who knows what mean nothing till something about them is known other than vague talk about existence.

Granted, being rich leaves them feeling like entitled prats with no worries of repercusions, but Trump has not an iota of couth nor a care. His impulsiveness and blatant self centerdness framed in glow(er)ing self absorbed lack of empathy are beyond the norm of even that realm.While politicians and the like fake it, that at least indicates a degree of awareness.
His behaviour also sets an example, and the bar has been set at embarrasingly low levels.

Cohen's credibility may not be great,but I'd believe him sooner than I'd believe Trump's unconvincing claim that they didn't do anything nefarious when Trumps own statements & actions during the campaign & since getting into office have strongly suggested otherwise!

Trump has gotten sanctions lifted on Russia for their interference in our elections.
He refuses to listen to our own security advisors who tell him that Russian security operatives have infiltrated our government databases & even our electrical grid,making them perfectly capable of causing blackouts as they did in the Ukraine.
This should scare any NORMAL person. It's extremely suspicious that Trump doesn't find this intelligence alarming. It suggests some very unpleasant things.
