An expired health insurance card.

I had a tooth infection and the out of pocket costs made me unable to pay my premiums anymore so.

Maybe spend less time on Imgflip and more seeking better employment and (1) you’d have health insurance and (2) you could afford to buy some personal hygiene products such as a toothbrush and a tube of toothpaste.

Did I mention the part where I HAD health insurance from full time skilled work and I still had to pay everything out of pocket?

You do have choices of medical benefits... apparently you chose one that does not fits your needs.

Yeah, they gave me a choice of six. The one I could barely afford, two I would definitely not be able to afford, and three that were offered to me as a joke because as my employers they know full well what I do and don't earn.

Then they muttered something about how those were the best offers they could get and told me I had a week to decide.

Join the military. I did and had coverage for the 4 years. Else I will recommend to get a few weeks on a job that is high in demand, like IT which only requires a few weeks certifications and not some crazy college time, then you will be able to have a job from which you can afford a good insurance. I mean, the problem is that people are not willing to get out of their comfort zone and go to places that there is a demand because bitching and complaining is easier. Look I did it, my mother did it and check this out, my mother cam to this country with two kinds, and not knowing how to speak the language, no family or anything. Yet she did it, what is your excuse. Because my mother showed me good lessons in life, about busting your ass to get ahead and not sitting in my comfort zone I have 0 sympathy for people that bitch and complain they cant get medical care. Look, go to Cuba, they have free medical care, that is where my mother came from with 2 kids.

Can a person with a full time job at a skilled profession and 8 years' experience of hard work at the trade get medical care? Is that ok with you? Is that a fair complaint, that someone who went to a trade school and got the diploma and had 8 years' relevant experience at doing the thing should be able to feel upset when the health insurance companies say "well you're not an IT manager so pay for it yourself and by the way you still owe us your share of the premiums"?

Is that not a point at which you will say "... Ok, MAYBE things are not working out here."

By the way, EVERYONE does free medical care. Not Cuba, EVERYONE. Everyone except us.

BTW it was due to Obama care that health insurance cost went up the roof. BUT answer me this, how come my mom who is still single, had a total 3 kids to raise (2 when she came to the country), never had food stamps of financial aid, has medical care and is not complaining about it. Also neither of her 3 now adult children, we all have good health coverage, and not complaining about it.... the problem is you, not the way the system has been working for decades. NOW you have the freedom to move to those countries with free medical. I dare you, get out of your comfort zone and the the needful to get a job that is in high demand OR move to one of those countries with "free" medical care, that or keep b**ching about a system that has worked for decades until your last day. The choice is yours my friend, are you going to remain in your comfort zone or are you going to man up and take action? I will tell you, there is no such thing as "free" medical care, it comes at a cost one way or another. Doctors, nurses, receptionists, maintenance crew, organizational and leadership crew DO get paid, they do not work for free. When was the last time you worked for free? Why should a doctor work for free? It does comes at a cost. I tell you what, in none of those countries is the government that pays for it. So, then it is the people that pay for it. So why should I pay for the health of people I do not know? I rather pay for a medical visit right and then when I need it, than constantly paying for other people's health conditions, cosmetic treatments and sex change treatments. The issue here is that people do not look around and wonder "how is he/she making it and why am I not?" or ask those people that are making it for suggestions and feedback so that they can too make it. Instead they just want to bitch about their condition. Look around you bro, just looks around you.
