Firstly he had several weapons and used a modified AR15, the ban is on all auto and semi automatic military style weapons and high capacity magazines and parts to modify semi auto to full auto,  also it was police who ran him off the road and aprehended him when he was on his way to another mosque 21 minutes after first call came in. Did you read any of the f**kin story? Or you just makin shit up as you go? How could he have bin stopped by "a good guy with a gun" when they have very strict gun laws, it aint texas over there, no conceal carry.

   I have read various articles and based my opinion on those facts, those are the weapons ban in the proposal, and those are the current laws  in NZ,  ie. no conceal carry. Also there's video of the police take down, no hoid guy with a gun action.
