DNA didn't change. As for the mental disorder you cite, that can and should be properly treated, no coddled.

I'm sure there's an element to it, but it's not a defining one, but an offshoot. I am rightly saying that for a person born male to think they are a female (and vice versa) is a mental disorder that should be treated properly. Not enabled with expensive surgical drag. Fix the problem so the mind correctly matches the body, not the other way around.

We wouldn't encourage and celebrate a person who believes they are overweight to continue to starve themselves (anorexia nervosa). We wouldn't parade them as "dietitian of the year" etc.. NO WAY. We would encourage them to seek professional help as their perception of themselves is flawed and not reality. Transgender / body dysmorphia/ body dysphoria is no different. We should be encouraging these people to seek professional help not encouraging a delusion.
