I hate the fact that the top meme on the top of the front page is a "beg for upvotes" meme and then when confronted about it, the poster lies and claims it's an experiment. I'm sure it is an experiment, seeing how many saps will upvote it. Meanwhile, I make an original meme that I think is funny and entertaining and it doesn't get featured until 5-7 hours after I submit it and gets about 50 views and maybe 5 upvotes.

A lot has changed here and I do get upset about it sometimes, but it's actually the easiest to meme making site to navigate so I stick with it.

It is the same type of people who break the law and when they get arrested claim that it is a social experiment, like that justifies everything as being ok.

I hear ya. It's very discouraging when you spend time in a really good meme that takes hours to feature missing the peak time and someone gets front page with a stupid potato, repost, or upvote begging meme that took them maybe 10 seconds to make and it gets featured right away. Don't stop making them though! It's the users who need to stop up voting useless memes so the authentic ones get recognition.

It's been this way for a while, but it's gotten really bad over the past few weeks. And the meme at the top right now will soon become the highest upvoted meme on the site and it's a begging for upvotes meme, which means the poster had no thought into the meme itself and any trained monkey could have posted it.

Sorry about the rant, but it really bothers me. I realize it's just a meme, but the fact that so many users on here upvote it to the front page and the fact that the poster tells everyone to spam other user's memes with the link to his meme, bothers the crap out of me.

So what he is asking the imgflip community to do is a violation of terms and the Mods are allowing it? Sounds like that IS the reason the things have gone the way they have.
And as far as your memes, I don't think I have seen one of yours that hasn't earned my upvote, keep up the good work.

Well, I try. Hey, I just created a meme stream that will feature only original content. I posted the first meme I created. It's a meme I submitted to the "fun" stream, but it's been 4 plus hours and it hasn't featured, so I just said "heck with it..."

What do you think of making a stream just for upvote fishing memes? Some people may actually need a boost with upvotes so they can post there instead of clogging up the fun stream. imgflip.com/i/2vtdz8 we could have events too, like most clever etc.

There is a stream called "freeupvotes". Not sure how well it has taken off though.

But, you also have to give to get, and most who wanna get, aren't really up for the giving, from what I have seen.
