So maybe it should be a question of existence. Can't control it if it isn't there. Believe it or not currency worked before the Fed.

Yes. Government over time becomes captured by special interests. Any form of government. We can't realistically do without it because it's a natural byproduct of community. But it remains problematic nonetheless.

which is why an informed citizenry is so vital.
the "fourth estate" (which was what the 1st amendment really had in mind) was meant to keep the American people abreast to what the powerful political class was doing.

/looks to our media and current state of journalism.

yep,we're f**ked.

we need to retake the levers of power from those small, minority who taken control of all aspects of power.
and the only way to do that is recognize the media blitz barrage of constant spectacle, divisive political opinion masquerading as "news",and a rapacious political pundit class who serve only their masters.(a.k.a not us).

people want to tout the validity of their own "political team" while vilifying the "other team",but until we address this very important, and fundamental issue, our political leanings matter naught.

I know I am ranting,so I will leave with one last thing.

at least within our republic we can vote for our interests.
we can never vote against the interest of goldman sachs.

A two party system doesn't work. Just look to the corporate sponsors who throw campaign finance at both parties. It's trivial to buy the winner in a two horse race.

Also,

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”

- R. Buckminster Fuller

The revolution will not be centralized.
