Father's deserve more rights to their children.

Have you thought about maybe having kids with someone who actually wants to have kids with you, then?

I'm fine. I have my kids... but relationships can go sour and decisions can be made without the consent of the ex-partner. I KNOW this happens more than many would like to admit.

I know it can be difficult - my unborn baby was a miscarriage. But having lived through an experience like that where there was nobody to blame at all, it's really possible to overstate the impact this has on a difficult debate like abortion.

At the end of the day, much as we want some pregnancies to work out, there's really too many things that can go wrong and if they do, you just have to move on to the next opportunity.

I appreciate that. These things happen, but we can help by taking the stigma out of it and creating an environment that is more comforting to people for whom the experience is more recent and are still grieving about it.

Boy meets girl. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy. Both decide to have consensual sex. Both decide to not use birth control. Everything is equal.

But once she's pregnant, she gets to decide whether or not to keep the child. She can kill his child through abortion, or force him to pay child support for 18 years. The father loses all decision making ability once she's pregnant even all previous decision making was equal.

But how can you legitimately force her to do other than as she chooses? There doesn't seem to be much equality here, and little that can be done about it.

Heard it before... word for word. You have been programmed. Anyone with half a brain and half a soul knows what the problem is here. Would there be an exception to the rule(s)... yes. Again, relationships can go sour. It's not the child's fault. The child shouldn't pay with their very own lives for bad decisions made by people who f**k with consent.

Rape and medical issues would be exceptions.

It's not only life... it's your child... and not only your's but the father's child as well.

The father's decision doesn't supersede the mother's right to do what she wants with her body... "Her" body. You forget that the baby inside the mother has its "OWN" body, separate to that of the mother, with its own DNA and at times a different blood type. The baby is not the mother's body. It's a biological fact.

Let the mother do what she wants to herself, but why should her decision supersede the unborn baby's control over its own body...?

Zygote, embryo, fetus, baby... call it what you will, it still = Human life.

You posit that one human life can not supersede another then posit that one human life can supersede another... Your logic is faulty.

At the end of the day though, we can debate back and forth and you wont convince me otherwise, nor do I believe I will convince you either... Agree to disagree.
