you're using too broad a brush my friend.
there are only a few here that i would actually label as "ideologue".
they reveal themselves when you counter their claim,and they deflect,dismiss or outright ignore,and they almost always attack from some perceived sense of persecution.

i do not label lightly,i may troll like a long line fishermen,but only a few here have actually revealed themselves as true blue believers.(and since this site leans right,they tend to be hard core rightwingers).

maybe our misunderstanding is the usage of "ideologue".
think fundamentalist,who believes every word on the bible is the literal word of god.
now a fundamentalist is not interested in discussion and debate,challenging their own belief systems with others who may come from a different perspective.
the fundamentalist only engages with one goal in mind.
to convert you to the truth they KNOW,and are commanded by the bible to proselytize,to you.

but what if you are not a fundamentalist?
what if you have different ideas?

well,the fundamentalist only has one avenue to follow if you refuse to accept the truth they are attempting to convince you of,and that avenue is:you are corrupted by satan,and they will pray for your soul.

so anything you have to offer that may enlighten,or illuminate,will be viewed through that lens:satan.

go through some of my arguments here,and you will see the ideologues resort to basically calling me evil.
