you said u were in the military? My dad made a good suggestion. He was electrician, then a Vetted school bus driver. He was also 82nd airborne . what if we have retired , heavily vetted ex military to guard schools? plain clothes etc volunteers

sure,but that won't reduce the number of people being radicalized.

and that is really what we are talking about:radicals.

it is not everday,normal joe who just f**king snaps and takes an AK to a bunch of school-children.

it is that person who is already vulnerable to demagoguery and hyper partisan rhetoric,that slowly over time begins to descend the ;adder of isolation,depression and ultlimately violence.

as of late, the ppl that snap are children themselves and in many cases gov was vehemently warned b4... simplify things (Einstein) You know another one is coming regardless of laws, you can arm the vic or you cannot. what do you do?

I have a family member that IS the "Man in the tower" he is ex marine and out there. He has had run ins with the law and his Family (not on my side) bails him out. That family involves a Retired Federal judge, Famous Philly lawyers and a whole family of Democratic state Reps from the city of Philadelphia over the years. His own Father (who he hates for no reason) is a Retired Federal agent and has a PFA on him.
I know the storm is coming , His parents know, his siblings know. The police, feds have been told numerous times and they have not done anything because of his families political ties.

I am not against arming people,or their right to bear them.

I am not even making the argument against armed guards(don't think it is the best argument,but not against it).

Do we lock up all the ppl deemed emotionally unfit?What percentage of them does harm?Do we appoint guidance councilors to every one of them? in most cases they already have seen professional help as in the case of the fla shooter, 1 of the columbine kids and countless others.
The bar shooter in Ca was Vetted by Ca mental health "experts" 5 month b4 he shot up the place. What do you do when the "Experts" fail? I would rather have my kid in a school with a vetted armed guard than without..
I used to bring bullets (Cartridges) that my father and I made(reloaded) for show and tell (100 yrs ago). I brought ww1 bayonets , Kabar knives in too.
Times have changed, what is making ppl more violent now? Not poverty, there was always poor.I know to do nothing is wrong and armed guards is no fix but its better than what we have. Israel does it, they live inside a hornets nest.

I expected no less from you. Arm the kids. No, not the kids but, they should have some type of armed security. We protect our money with guns (banks). We protect our politicians with guns (body guards). We protect our kids in school with signs (gun free zone). Good luck with that.
