We have reached a nadir from which I fear we will never recover. Imagine chortling with glee over the impending death of an 85 year old woman! A tiny little woman who has served her nation faithfully as a Supreme Court Justice! If Hillary Rodham Clinton, former First Lady ,New York Senator, & Secretary of State,who also served her nation sith honor- cannot garner respect,I guess Alexandria can't expect it either!
All of these women have much more in common than their gender & political affiliation. They are brilliant,well spoken,highly educated,and talented. They are qualified for their positions. Most importantly of all, these women still CARE what happens to America!
They are strong,smart & worth fifty of each of their detractors.

No,my vision is quite clear!:The history of unusually vicious attacks against women seeking responsive representation for their political needs has been an abysmal one.
In the last century, it has only gotten nastier,not better.
There's ALWAYS been a group of angry people, who are extremely threatened by the idea of women bettering ourselves & our families.
That's because financial independence for women threatens profits for large corporations, who can pay women less money legally.
The corporations work to make men insecure, telling them that women will leave their husbands & steal their jobs if allowed to participate in directing their own fates.
They tell men the women will become promiscuous & neglect their children if given jobs & access to family planning.
They made the same argument against the vote for women.

As a result of this nasty stereotype, women in politics REALLY frighten men.
I wasn't surprised that we had an African American descended man as our President before we had a Caucasian woman. Black men got the vote before women of all colors did.
There are people who are categorically opposed to women in politics & they will never vote for a woman.They do EVERYTHING they can to assure that noone else does either. Conservative female candidates have some shielding, as they can be relied upon not to disturb The status quo.
As for the deterioration in standards, well, in the case of Ms.Griffins,she has her reasons for detesting Trump.I always found her humor a bit raw,as she shares too much about her personal sexual tastes.Nor did I think Ilma Gore's portrait of Trump very tasteful. But Trumps supporters blacking her eyes in the streets ,& threatening her was execrable, as was Trumps threats to sue her & his blacklisting ruinined her career so that noone dares exhibit her work in the USA.
