Laws have been passed that turns marriage into a get-rich-quick scheme, where a waitress can marry a rich guy for a few years, screw around, no-fault divorce him, get half his shit, house, car, alimony (til she can con another guy into marrying her), plus child support for 18+ years. Equality? Don't think so. Now gals can give consent to have sex, and years later get 'buyer's remorse' and charge him with rape. Equality? Not sounding equal to me. Guy screws a little girl he is charged with rape, sent to prison for ten + years, and tagged as a pedophile for life. Gal screws a little boy, she is said to have seduced him, either gets a pussy-pass or a slap on the wrist, and rarely any lifetime pedophile tag. Equality? Nope. Yeah, women have made good use of their vote, but it rarely has anything to do with equality...unless 'equality' is feminazispeak for superiority.

Some women are very responsible. Others are a bunch of damn crybabies crowing on about equal rights only so long as they receive a net gain. I don't think it was always about that, but there is a part of me that resonates with the OP in that some women seem to think that equality is something you receive rather than something you participate in.
