This made me chuckle a bit. Man, he must of felt amazing discovering actual evidence of this majestic beast out in open like this.

I also thought that it was amazing that he was able to capture the rare beautiful animal in it's natural habitat. I'm so glad you liked it. But that's why I wanted everyone to know about it and see it. Because it said the last photograph of the rare black leopard was in 1909. Again I'm so glad you liked it.

I read that as well too, and it just boggles my mind that it's be over a century since the last picture.

I know, but they do say it is rare. So there is a possibility that another one hasn't been born until now. It is young, what do you think?

It's no doubt rarer than Albinism but I don't exactly have any numbers to back up my claims here because I'm not a scientist.

I'm not much on leopard genealogy either. But that would be my thought, because of there being only one sighting in over every hundred years. But I am not a scientist either.

I guess they never took a photo for quite a while I guess since there were many that were found by video and some were just the head only. The oddest part was that many of the videos were taken at the outskirts of the regular land they roam in.

From the little I know they don't like areas with high populations. But all of your information is very interesting. :)

It's not that anyone hasn't seen them, they have them in zoos. But no one has captured them in a photograph in the wild since 1909. That's why it's so rare.
