You do know he didn't even have to be born in America to be American, right? His mom was an American citizen. Same situation as Cruz. He wasn't born in America but can run for Prez. The whole birther issue is beyond dumb.

I think the Constitution does require that the President be born on American soil - so there would have been a massive court battle for Ted Cruz had he been the nominee.

But Obama was born in Hawaii, so, the birthers had nothing.

You have to be born in america to become potus or on sovereign ground like a military base,naval ship etc. Much Like Philip J Berg Democrat tried to disprove John McCain because he was born in panama on a military base where his dad was commander. You don't know shit. Cruz was born in Canada and has a father born in Cuba. He even had Canadian citizenship. Cruz is still a, "natural born citizen".

Obama and Hillary sponsored legislation to insure McCain's citizenship was not questioned. "The April 2008 resolution said, "John Sidney McCain, III, is a 'natural born Citizen' under Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States."

McCain's citizenship should have never been an issue. He was born in what was then the Panama Canal Zone, which was at the time a U.S. Territory. Hence, citizen at birth.

You guys just won't give up. He did show his birth certificate. If there was footage of his birth in Hawaii you guys still wouldn't be satisfied. Ultimately, ignorance is bliss here. It DOES NOT MATTER if he was born in Hawaii or not. He was still a natural born citizen, same as Cruz, due to both moms being U.S. citizens.
