From the the official AMS website : "A meteorologist is an individual with specialized education who uses scientific principles to observe, understand, explain, or forecast phenomena in Earth’s atmosphere and/or how the atmosphere affects Earth and life on the planet."

Saying global warming is a hoax because someone on Channel 5 said there was a 30% chance it would rain on your house and it didn't is like saying that world hunger is bullshit because you just ordered a pizza from Papa Johns.

Who said it was a hoax? The earth's climate has gone through changes since it first formed an orbit around the sun. The point is we know that individuals who have specifically gone to college to study weather and climate can be - and very often are- inaccurate in predictions, so it is foolhardy to turn around and give unquestioning credence to the dire, apocalyptic predictions of politicians.

Trump did. Specifically a "Chinese Hoax".
But you know ... as they say:
