Actually, he was indicted for process crimes, lying to the FBI. Nothing else he did is illegal. It is the same with most of Mueller's indictments. Most are for lying to the FBI, not for doing anything illegal before the investigation.

That is why this is an investigation is so corrupt. Most of the crimes are a result of the investigation process itself and not something that happened before.

Ah yes, "lying" to the FBI, where they record absolutely everything and will get you on the tiniest inconsistency or clarification.

In all honesty that charge is becoming a joke.
