So. Is there irony in using a British character (a socialist country) in a meme about the "horrors" of socialism? Also, if socialism is such a failure, why is it working so well everywhere else?

It's an American actor playing a British one, in a capitalist country that has some socialist tendencies, but is very much wedded to competition and commerce.. That being said.. what they do have that is under a socialist flag isn't so hot.. which is why.. when you hear someone is dying from cancer... you never hear them say.. "Oh Good news.. The problem is the word socialism gets thrown around s lot, and is more often than not used incorrectly. When people point to successful "socialist" countries, they are almost never socialist. They are capitalist with high taxes and extensive social programs, not true socialism .
Some of the Democrats that espouse "socialism" really only are advocating high taxes and extensive social programs, some actually do want socialism (which is scary). But this conversation never progresses because too many people refuse to use accurate terms.

Venezula is a poor socialist country. there are poorer capitalist countries. there are richer capitalist countries there are richer socialist countries. The "socialists" people vote for are democratic socialists that will meddle in healthcare but not real socialism.

Those countries didn't need Tort reform because they already control it. With runaway lawsuits in the US, there isn't a way to keep costs down unless you neuter the lawyers.. Obama wasn't willing to do that.. well.. he wasn't allowed to.. because they were the ones writing the law for him !
