You think our country isn't being taken away right in front of us? It's happening every day and not a single shot will be fired. I have no problem with the 2nd amendment but it's completely out of date and antiquated to financial/political warfare.

I agree with your fatalistic outlook. I don't think, personally, that it can be stopped. History isn't on our side with respect to our government's direction. I can, however, choose how I face it, and that is armed and fighting, not sniveling in a corner waiting for the ax to fall. If there's to be a cost, I'll do what I can to share it with the oppressors.

Because the CDC didn't publish a paper. They collected raw data from 27 states. Florida State University professor Gary Kleck published a paper estimating the 300,000 to 3 million claim. Kleck just used their raw data.

The survey was self-reported. What controls were put in place to account for the bad data? Because people lie in self-reporting surveys. You have to account for it.

And what I am implying with Meal Team Six- the US Military is the finest fighting force this world has seen. It's highly trained and well-equipped. It has spent over a decade fighting on two fronts against an organized and effective insurgency that used guerrilla tactics. Snack Force One there will do the same thing that happened at the bird sanctuary; talk a big game, do something stupid, forget to bring snacks, someone gets killed, the rest melt away into the darkness.

If the study only went for 27 states it could still be a much higher amount. Now if they used raw data they still used a source to back up the study they still needed previous studies to do so. These same statistics are also back up by PEW, NPR, and a few other sources.

And "stopping crime" is not a predictor in how to effectively mount a guerrilla operation. Despite what your grade school teacher taught you, American guerrilla forces were wildly ineffective. First Sergeant Type II Diabetes ain't gonna save you from a highly trained and well-equipped military despite the "fact" that he thinks he stopped crime because he was standing in a 7-11 when a black guy walked in to pay for some gas and a big gulp.

Stopping crimes is a predictor of how effective people can be with guns. "American guerrilla forces were wildly ineffective" 1: You don't revolt against what was at the time the most powerful empire on earth with by being wildly ineffective 2: I was talking about it as a whole.
