Some people run red lights so we shouldn't bother putting up traffic lights at all, right?

There are laws, and both are a violation of the law. Why not have effective enforcement of each?

So how is a wall gonna stop the shipment of drugs that have already bin shipping in for decades? We haven't even broached the subject of tunnels here yet.

A physical barrier will stop the flow of narcotics and illegal aliens walking across the border. Have a look at the statistics of the double and triple fence San Diego has on it's southern border. Tunnels do happen, but are far less because of the expense, time, effort, and location associated with building tunnels.

But back to my question,
Why not have effective enforcement of each?
