There are three stages in social media.

Stage one: introduce your platform as a life changing event that you can't do without.

Stage two: wait until the masses are fully engaged and addicted and they literally can't do without.

Stage three: change everything about your platform from how it used to be before the masses were addicted, then control the masses and make them think the way you want them to think.

Nope, Facebook is public what they are doing is the same as Blacks to the back of the bus, they allow you to board as long as you do as they say. There is no way to censor without picking a side, facebook is not our moral compass.

It's not about racism. It's about all the "isms". You created a false dichotomy and can't back it up. Government services are not equal to the public domain. When your social media platform donates millions to certain parts of the government and those certain parts of government control what your social media platform puts out to its "customers," then it is no longer a "private company" and cannot "do whatever they want" with those "customers."

Facebook is a publicly traded company and is bound by the same laws and rules as other publicly traded companies. Hence the whole Senate hearings with its creator and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.

Senate hearings we're just that. They were a show to appease the curious masses. Nothing came from them but an empty promise to look into the problem. If there was truly a legal problem and a constitutional issue, it wouldn't have been just the Senate dog and pony show. Don't like Facebook policy...get on another platform...or start your own. That's the capitalist solution. The last thing I want is a left leaning government dictating what a private company can and can't do. I don't think that that makes me racist like the above kid throws around. Facebook is more politically biased than I'm comfortable with and I don't see how racism even comes into this argument, but it might be the only counterpoint he has, so I'll just leave it at that and hope he gets a better education one day.

You're wrong. I do have a problem with how FB operates. But I have a bigger problem with the government telling a private business how to run itself. People don't need Facebook and freely choose to have an account. It's amazing how authoritarian some of you guys and "other" are while you complain about another group being authoritarian. SMH. You just want society to conform to your standards and to hell with what others believe. If they are different from yours...well they must be racist or whatever other disparaging remark you can come up with. You're not well read and not old enough to understand the nuances within your on chosen position. In seeking to become the some angel of truth you've become the very beast you strive against. Your position is self-defeating, falling under the wait of its own faulty logic and you're to dense to even see it.

Insults aside, our real difference is a simple one, I do not think of FB as private. Any organization that pumps funding to the political party that votes its way is hardly private. Additionally, we have no way to know if black funds bought some or all of FB we only know they censor to protect the party that supports their agenda. You got angry because I thought some payback was a good idea. Had you not started slinging insults on your original post, I would have done the same for you. Nothing you added changed the meme, it is true as written.

Thousands of private companies donate to political parties. That doesn't mean their no longer private companies. If it does, how about backing up the claim. It's not true just because you say it. And...what you "think" doesn't really matter if it can't be substantiated with facts, something you haven't presented as of yet. And...it was you who made the ludicrous claim that I was racist because...I said Facebook was a private business. Wow. That sounds even more moronic every time I consider it. I got the idea for the meme while watching the news. I stopped using FB some time back but I will read up on Project Lifelog. I see corporations as government and politicians as role players for corporations.

Lifelog was a project by DARPA for the CIA. it was discontinued Jan 2004.

Facebook launched Feb 2004.

I'm normally against anti-discrimination laws, but if you're the one and only grocery shop in town, you shouldn't have the right to refuse service to people because of their political views, race, gender or religion. If you have a monopoly, you should have an obligation not to discriminate.

FB is dangerous people people do need it, it helps with more than keeping up with friends and family, neighborhood watch groups, groups that help those in need. The dark side of FB is it owns other types of media, it can put anyone it wants off the bus without worry, without oversight and with no way to question FB rules. At its worst, it is both addictive and a weapon.

You sound very upset.. hasn't the identity politics of calling someone a fascist become a bit overused? These days, the "politically correct" way to offend a conservative is to suggest that there needs to be more love and acceptance of EVERYONE, and then to close the remark by saying conservative white men "are the problem". I had a left a comment and deleted it because it was posted to another person. I used the term fascist because he literally said the if he had the power he would shut down a private company based on his authoritarian beiefs. He would circumvent the Constitution and assume total authority in this matter. That's how Fascism works. It's not a trigger word when used correctly unlike his use of the term "racist" that was used in a completely irrelevant manner. And try not assume anyone's emotional state based on comments. Dialogue does not equate to upset. Can no one responded without everyone assuming they're triggered? How presumptuous of you.

They absolutely DO use algorithmic automation to squelch any idea that doesn't march to the liberal narrative, in my opinion, based on my experience, and thus, I don't use Facebook anymore..
