The people inside those walls have limited freedom. They do not have access to things like a cheap work force willing to tunnel under the wall for them for next to nothing. They also don't have access to the tools to do so with.

Sure we can pass a bill to throw a huge amount of tax payer money at a wall. We can build it and pay people to man it and maintain it. That won't solve anything unfortunately.

The only thing that will is for Mexico to get it's shit together. Which our government won't allow to happen when them being at war with each other keeps them from becoming a threat to us. We've already proven that we are willing to sell tons of cocaine to Americans to pay for one group we like better to overthrow another down there. That's public knowledge and nobody gives a shit, in fact those prisons are filled with people who sold drugs to make money for the same people who call them criminals for doing it.

Walls need to be built, walls of schools and hospitals, we don't have money for those though I guess...

sooo everybody gets their money back if it doesn't stop anything right...? I don't really care if they build it or not. Just find it amusing that we worry so much about who comes here while our government is out toppling others and setting up puppet rulers. We stomp all over other countries to make billions then cry that immigrants are bankrupting us lmao.

The sad fact is you've let yourself led to believe immigration is the only issue or need for border security. And that the United States is the only county unworthy of secured borders. You go try sneaking into THEIR country. Mandatory automatic prison sentence. Please don't come at me with an argument loaded with hypocrisy.

Border security is a made up idea that fools think they need to feel safe from the other made up ideas they are afraid of. The rich and powerful keep all you sheep fighting over the scraps they don't want. To keep you distracted while they rob this planet of the last of it's resources before they are all used up.

It's a fact that at the rate of consumption and growth of the population that life won't be sustainable here in no more than a couple generations from now. Build a wall don't build a wall it's already too late for most of us. If we're lucky they will find some other planets to strip resources from in time, maybe new places to live even. Those with money and power will move there and the rest of us will all be unwanted immigrants to them.

If they don't then the haves will hide away in bunkers or on islands until enough of the have nots die off for the planet to be able to sustain life again. Either that or we all die and some new form of life will emerge in the distant future unless the earth is unable to repair the damage we cause dying out.

I don't care man, worry about your politics, follow some religion, worship technology or whatever it takes to remain distracted from reality. You can convince yourself you are safe and happy if you keep your head down and let others think for you.

The truth is sadly that mankind is too distracted to care about gaining real knowledge anymore. The only information they hunger for is that which their devices tells them is important. Whatevers trending or viral that day, which is all designed to keep people from being individuals and forming opinions of their own. The only things worth doing are the things which everybody else is doing as well. Nothing you do matters unless everybody else likes you doing it. And of course anybody different is to be feared and shunned. Best keep them on the other side of a wall if you can, or there won't be enough money for you to buy the things that let you know what it is you should think so that what you think is liked by everybody else....

I've simply asked questions.... you somehow feel the need to get emotional and throw insults at me in return... I may disagree with you but have no anger or resentment towards you for thinking of things so strongly from one perspective only.

No man should hold so tightly to his own opinion that he finds himself unable to grasp another....

What is your definition of "grasp" used in this context ?
0 ups, 6y
comprehension, or to lay hold of with the mind, to reach for or try to maintain a hold upon an understanding of something not easily within reach.

"If every man could find a way to grasp an understanding of perspectives different than his own, knowledge for him would never be out of reach..."

Your response didn't allow a reply to it (no reply link) so I'll reply to the original comment again..

True! If "every man"... Sadly, it doesn't seem to be the case these days, as most that speak of a perspective that differs from the CNN and liberal narrative are automatically branded with hateful rhetoric, slang terms, and labels that don't fit their character at all.. The concept of actually listening and considering other perspectives is a great one, which leads us back to the "every man" issue. Still, this medium of memes is a terrific means to get perspectives out there.. We all have a different style, and tidbits of wisdom can be found in many of the concepts presented here. I prefer to be caustic and sarcastic (as you've witnessed) but just an FYI, I understood what you meant when I read it. Your response was cool and level headed, so big applause, and I hope you are grateful that I drew you out to articulate yourself! :) I understand WillDiPatron's intent (and frustration) as well, and this meme he created is spot on.. https://imgflip.com/i/2pvdsy

part deuce... sorry I got carried away with it all...

created so they could enslave them by making them blame the other group for why they had to spend all that money keeping them safe.

It's a con as old as time that people can't seem to stop falling for. You take a large group of people you want to control and figure out the differences between them. Based usually on difference of environment or culture or even how they catch a buzz.

Convince one half they should be afraid of the things that make them different. That their very life is in danger of being changed into something else and that you can protect them from that happening. It costs a lot to stay safe from change but so long as the money keeps flowing you can assure them that nothing will ever change. Things may never get any better, but at least they definitely won't change which is always worse.

The main thing you have to do however, is keep finding ways to keep both sides fighting back and forth. Letting one side think they have won and are in charge for a while and then the other. Making sure neither side is ever in charge long enough to figure out that you are really in charge. That while they've been focused on each other you managed to change things for both of them a little at a time. So that both sides work for you hoping to be able to afford the newest distraction you are so kindly willing to sell them at a price they can just barely afford.

There is enough food for everybody, cheaper cleaner renewable energy sources available that if implemented make oil nothing more than black sludge in the ground. So many changes that mankind could make that would make all life easier without cost.

Maybe someday we will learn not to fear change, we will stop defining ourselves by our differences. Learn to value each other instead of things that distract us from those right in front of us. Who f**king knows anything is possible...

People looked at me strange the other day as I read a book in a waiting room full of people. I guess I looked weird with a book in my hand instead of a phone. I'm sure they may have wondered what I was doing reading a book in a room full of people. It's funny how the same situation can seem strange to people for different reasons. To me choosing a book over a phone doesn't seem strange at all. What was strange to me was it being quite enough in a room full of people for me to be able to read it....

Well said thank you for opening a window and clearing the thread out a bit. I don't consider myself to be part of any political party. Some issues have no easy or "right" answer and I prefer to keep most of my opinions fluid so I'm not closed off to new information as it presents itself.

Take a different topic like abortion for example. Now I personally could never be a part of one, would probably end up raising the kid myself if somebody close to me felt they needed to have one. I can't however raise every kid somebody doesn't want and there are just too many damn people on this planet already. That's just logic that I can understand when I remove emotion from the decision.

Mankind has switched from having to make decisions that immediately affect his ability to survive from often to rarely in the past 100 years or so. Most no longer need to decide to end the life of something on a regular basis in order to keep themselves alive. I hunt every year and it never gets easier to make that decision emotionally.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is. There is nothing wrong with wanting to make decisions that are always easy on you emotionally if you can survive that way. Unfortunately most people who never have to make tough decisions, start to look down on those who have no choice but decide on that which they must do to survive.

Most illegal immigrants don't decide to break the law easily. The most profitable business in Mexico right now is smuggling people here to work. If the wall is successful and truly nobody can get across illegally. It will be a larger financial blow to the criminals in Mexico than if every American stopped doing drugs.

Those criminals already work for us, we pay them so well they are willing to risk us throwing them in jail when they try to pick up their paychecks. We paid one government agency to risks their lives, to catch the guys that were selling cocaine for a different agency we also paid at the same time in the 80's.

We've already paid for a wall man. Well enough cocaine to build the wall with. Then the rest of us voted to pay for the war on drugs. Basically paying our own government to keep us safe from itself.

They divided the country into two groups, one part they sold drugs to as a way of enslaving it with laws against what they sold them. The other they sold fear and lies about the criminals they...

you do realize there would be no money in child sex trafficking if people on this side didn't pay for it right? In many parts of Europe the ruler of the land used to get to f**k your wife before you did. And you were taught to consider yourself lucky if a noble found your daughter worthy enough to have their way with.

The rich and privileged have always exploited those below themselves, it just takes a special type of arsehole to hate the people you exploit for being exploited...

You place so much emphasis on trying to prove you are right when you can't. Nobody knows for sure if a wall will solve anything so there is no right answer. You seem to think I am from one political party and have the same opinions as they do because I disagree with you.

I don't even know why you are so damn upset honestly. If you are so damn sure you are right why do you need me to agree with you so badly? I'm sure you will get your wall and everything will be peaches and cream after that. Really won't affect me at all either way, not the way I live or any of the things that matter enough to me to actually get upset about...

Did you seriously just say nobody knows if a border wall will work or not????????????????????????????????. You under a lot of assumptions as to my mood or emotions here . Simply based by my typed out replies. Lol. Do you really need to see a list of every country with a long standing border wall? There's that one in China a few thousand years old too.

If you did, you've clearly no idea what you visited then or you wouldn't be talking like that. And yeah, prisons need protection and not only from the inside. And I also wonder if prisons have the effect they were intended for. It not my meme that makes no sense. Despite having been in 9 prisons I wonder if you actually understand what they are.

Yeah your's still makes no sense against the argument for the necessity of the Wall. Look up the ratio of ppl trying to break into prisons, vs the amount of prison escapes and attempted escapes. You automatically lost that argument too. You want to also bring in the rehabilitation vs incarceration as punishment debate.

I don't think it makes sense to debate with you as long as you think I'm not making sense, which is really your problem and not mine. I've already seen what you actually know. Jon Snow knows more. My point was just that people blindly trust on walls these days and you apparently appear to do that. Walls only work if there's more than just walls (and even then they can easily fail). 100% COMMON sense... but unfortunately you proved that common sense is pretty UNcommon these days... Oh well :P

Nobody ever even said or alluded to only a Wall being what's needed. THAT'S showing which of us is the one lacking in common sense. Your point* Lmao, you made up the entire conflict within your head & your feelings ,in a truly childish manner. Dare I say quite liberal as well? Walls work,or walls would not have ever been built all these centuries of civilization. Did anybody ever say walls alone can do the job? Nobody said that ignorant shit at all. YOU liberally chose to basically put words in my mouth as that being my argument. Big fail son. Really typical liberal tactic.

I hope you realize you're laughing at your own stupidity... And I am not the one being childish. You missed my point and now you are pretending you knew better all along? Now That is childish and a big fail on your side. And it's the first time somebody called me a liberal.... I rarely agree with liberals, so that confirms even more that you don't even know what "liberalism" means.
Of course, from the moment you said that "prisons are protection" I knew I made a mistake by trying to tell you all this. Not because I'm wrong, but because I knew I'd get argumentation over me that wouldn't fit and now you're celebrating over your own failure and try to put it on me... Oh man... I've met a lot of dumb people on the internet, but this tops everything! Be proud!

Lmao, don't break a nail patting yourself on the back dipshit. You came at a meme on a meme making site, eschewing all your own issues and feelings over it in your initial brain fart of a comment. And here you are days later still with your panties in a was over it. The f**king joke that you and only you are here is glaringly obvious to all. I hope the finished actual border wall is like my meme here & assholes can't get over it either.

I already knew your meme was made in reference to that wall. If you think it protects you... dream on. And the only joke is that you accuse me of everything you are doing yourself, and I knew you'd go berserk over me, and now you even try making a point with the f-word. I can present countless of reasons why the wall on the border is not gonna work, but I don't think you're gonna understand any of them, so I won't waste my effort. And the joke is, that I've just been playing with you and you throw buckets on puke on me and now you blame me for personal issues? Oh, and a wall won't stop me... I'm not from Mexico and the internet is certainly not sensitive by walls. I too made a meme, and my meme also says more than you can imagine, as the walls surrounding a prison alone will not keep the inmates in, but a lot more measures that can never been done on a wall as long as the US/Mexican border, and that's the point you missed. It's not my meme that didn't make sense... It's your failure to interpret it correctly that didn't make sense. I didn't say that straight away as it was so much fun to see you struggle with your inability to figure that one out. And when you think I'm an asshole.... My my nickname is "The Mirror"... I'm not gonna explain that one, as that one probably doesn't make sense to you either.

Lmao the ones who can't hold a civil conversation without shit talking and insults, are always the first ones to cry when it comes back at them. Ooh the "F word"?? Seriously?????????????????. And the absolutely childish "I'm the mirror & your the glue" is your go to comeback?? ????????????????????????. This is pretty nice few thousand words of effort here lmao.
Again, your failure of an argument against effectiveness of Border walls has been proven wrong for millennia on every Continent. Look up the definition of forethought, it'll help you to stop putting your foot in your mouth.
1 up, 6y
And it all began, by you posting a meme on this board that made a point I disagreed with, and all I did was counter it with another meme you refused to understand and then you start puking all over me and you fail to listen to argumentation and in your last message you didn't even make a point. And I did not even "come back". I'm just telling you facts and my views on them. And the Chinese wall did fail, you have no idea how many people managed to pass the Iron Curtain successfully, and Israel has also not exactly become safe around the border with Gaza since the wall's there.
You speak of my failure, while I am not the one who failed and you keep ranting on. And yes, my reasons for opposing that US/Mexican border wall has also been based on forethought. An ability which Donald Trump misses, as anyone could have imagined that shutting down the government would be disastrous for the international stock market and the US stock market most of all, and that's just one of the issues, and I really don't have time to name them all (and the char limit of posts here prevents that too). It's also forethought that they who try to smuggle people over the borders are happy about that wall. It only makes the crossing a bit more risky, but that's only good for their business. The more dangerous it is, the more they can charge.
