When a liberals says they want to "invest" in this or that, they really want more of YOUR money

You say "liberal", but what you mean is "politician, regardless of party affiliation".

Sometimes this is true, but I hear liberals/Democrats use the "invest" verbiage instead of saying "spend" often. Once in a blue moon a Repuke will say it, but almost universally Democrats use it to hide the real tax and spend agenda.

Maybe. Still, I'd rather hear "invest" - if the money doesn't go where it's supposed to go, then the money wasn't invested and you can hold the person accountable. If you just say "spend", the accountability ends when it gets spent.

In the end, though, it's semantics. We all know what it means.

Just a fancy way of selling a tax or increase in spending to taxpayers. It's all about branding to keep the "little people" and sheeple at bay.

Contrary to popular opinion nowadays, words do actually matter. An investment requires returns. Spending does not.
