Unless you have a vegetarian in your group, then it just makes everyone miserable. But it could be argued that it might not be the pizza's fault.

Oh I have serious meat eater friends that only want onions and peppers on their pizza. And the whole pineapple argument is just silly fun. I still don’t like it, but I like pepperoni and broccoli pizza with a little minced spinach.

Viewing pork products is not the same as the restrictions on eating it. And historically that restriction probably came about due to the lack of sanitation. Where as areas that had better means of controlling the run off of pig farming like the Chinese and Polynesians did not need to protect themselves as did the people in the middle east. That same problem with the run off of keeping pigs probably led to the restrictions on shellfish. More of a public health than a religious reason. Same with the restrictions on shaving. Lack of medical resources meant knicking yourself shaving could cause an infection that they didn't have a means to treat.
