NEWS FLASH FOR LIBTARDS: IT IS NO LONGER 1929

"It is no longer 1929" is exactly the point of this post. If it was 1929, no one would care about illegal immigration across the southern border.

This post is a response specifically to the argument I keep hearing of "my (insert first-gen American in the family) came over the right way, why can't these people." Using that argument makes a person look foolish and completely unaware of the history of immigration law. There are plenty more reasonable ways to support tougher immigration laws, or stricter enforcement of the existing laws. I'm just tired of hearing that one because it's stupid.

Sidebar: It would be wise to stop using "libtard" in general, but especially at the beginning of an interaction. It doesn't hurt my feelings, I don't care, but for your own sake, it makes you sound like an asshole. Not exactly the best way to start a conversation.
