Believing in God does nothing for your morality. I once had a woman question how someone could be moral without God. Anyone who needs God to tell them the difference between right and wrong because they can't figure that out on their own, is pretty scary.

Exactly. The problem lies in people though, I think. It's not that we need some invisible sky man to tell us right from wrong, it's that many of us need to fear something really big to make us /choose/ right over wrong.

Whether or not christians get as much "hate" as muslims in western countries is /highly/ debatable, since it's viewed as perfectly fine to hate christians, and is not considered a "hate crime".

Meanwhile, christians get executed for being christians in muslim countries, with public and government approval.
