They laugh at what we call poor and risk their lives on rickety rafts to get here. Hell, our poor live better than the Gods of yore supposedly did. I don't have to say let there be light and make a big fireball in the sky to do it, I just flick a switch.
Communism doesn't work because it doesn't work.
Yes, no one got it right. And that's because no one can get it right because it's a pipe dream. The closest gotten to it merely created sullen robotic hordes with no incentive to do anything above the bare minumum required in order to not get sent to a 're-eduction camp.' Inspiration declines, people get apathetic, progress falters, society crumbles, and the economy stagnates then goes into a perpetual decline.
True about the 1%, but that's who the Communist Apparatchik were as well. In a sense we're going in the same direction, only it's taking longer and is less apparent. But our system can still correct itself, whereas Communism can only cannibalize itself.
Incidentally, Marx was an entitled bourgeoisie parasite who lived off of Engel's daddy. And no, he did not share any of that with anyone else regardless of their need. If the author of an idea can't even begin to dare to live up to it, how can billions of greedy selfish backstabbing morons be expected to?
