This "real men don't cry" thing is a falsehood. It is a belief from "toxic masculinity," which basically tells you that you have to bottle up your emotions just because you're a male. "Toxic masculinity" also holds beliefs that ultimately leads to indecency and sometimes even violence. It is not the entirety of masculinity, it is only an unprogressive group of it.
Being open with your emotions is more manly than bottling them up, which would end up with outbursts of violence (because you can't hold in something without it eventually bursting out later). Real men are open with their emotions, because they have the humility, guts, and emotional maturity to do so. What's wrong with that?
