Nah a single vote really doesn't matter. It's the people who spend millions on ads, move crowds with speeches, and otherwise convince others of a position and to vote for it who actually make any difference.

The delusion that I actually have some say in such a broken system is something I will not tolerate anymore.

those crowds and people being convinced of positions are made up of single votes.. if none of them voted because "oh one vote is pointless" then what would happen?

Your question was asking what would happen if NO ONE voted. As in, everyone not voting. Meaning, not a single vote, or in this case, not a single non-vote.

No, what is flawed logic is saying that because you aren't a mover and shaker you don't have a voice. Those movers and shakers are trying to GET YOUR VOTES. If they didn't matter, they wouldn't be trying. It's really not complicated. Your single vote is not going to swing the election, and it SHOULDN'T. You are one of more than 300 million people in this country.

That's exactly the point. My single vote isn't going to swing the election and it shouldn't.

But .. if I can spend a few million dollars on information (or disinformation) ads, I will have actually had a significant impact on the outcome of a vote.

It is quite erroneous to claim that because a flood is composed of billions of raindrops, that means a single raindrop matters. A single raindrop drop does NOT. A couple million single raindrops might matter, but that is an oxymoron.
