My family has since they came to this country in the 1920's, welfare, taxes etc. meanwhile the same Racist Southern democrats didn't like my ancestry ( Italian ,Russian and Lenape native American) as much as they hated yours But i have to pay for it when my ancestors suffered too? that's f**ked up. Maybe you need "reparations " because you have been living off the government so long that you cant work for yourself.If you wipe your kids ass for him all the time, the kid will never be able to do it on his own.The rest of the country is sick of wiping your ass for you. You get affirmative action , you can get a job anywhere by just the color of your skin but you will have to show up everyday, on time too.

I have a job, and I'm not asking anyone for any type of hand-out. In fact, I'm not asking for anything, since I am not a DOS. However, I find it remarkable that nobody holds this country accountable for having its entire economy built for free by chattel slaves. While your ancestors may have been disliked, they were free to move, and they were paid for the work they did. Nothing compares to the situation African Americans have been in, and the effects of slavery affects that community to this day. Anyway, I just wanted to throw this in there. I'm off to work now.

you are not asking for anything except "to pay reparation" from ppl who had nothing to do with slavery . There was this big thing called the "us Civil war" where many brave northerners died fighting the racist south, The south rebelled and formed a different country. should the families of the North who's ancestors DIED fighting slavery have to pay? why dont you pay them? thats more reasonable, They gave their lives for you, see how that sounds!!! Oh BTW not all whites were free, "Duffys cut" for instance . The railroad hired Irish Immigrants and Killed them, cheaper than paying. MY Native american ancestors had it worse than the blacks, they got massacred. they tried to enslave them too but they refused to eat and died. The Germans are paying if "receiving stolen goods" artwork etc(see the golden lady movie) . Europe tried making Germany pay for ww1 and you know what that made? ww2. Your "several centuries" theory is wrong, The USA was not an independent country until 1776, the emancipation proc was 1863 so that is less than 1 century . Had it been passed earlier. some states like Pennsylvania never had slavery, William penn hated it. He was a Quaker and the underground railroad stops were Quaker meeting houses. Now there was slavery from the colonial powers prior, if you want to dig up the dead kings and queens of Europe, be my guest and good luck.
