During the debates between Mr. McCain and Mr. Obama before Obama's first term, Mr. McCain left a good impression on me...I was struck by his intellect, his wisdom and most of all, his humanity. If he were a Canadian politician running for office, I would have been hard-pressed not to vote for him if he ran in my riding.
This great man genuinely cared about the American people...his shoes will be almost impossible to fill....may he and his family find peace, and may the American people find the time and the wisdom to put aside their differences and look back on the many times he stood strong for the things that matter the most.
Come to think of it, we Canucks could learn much from him...so much.....
