Ah, found it on Snopes. Naturally, they're not, in fact, out on bail and are all still sitting in jail.

OK, I'm up to speed. The man has not been released on bail and is still being held. The 3 women have been granted bail, but none of them have posted it and they are all, therefore, still in prison.

I'm glad they're still in prison but you've also overlooked a few details.

"Morton and two other women remain in custody pending fulfillment of the conditions of their release"

"35-year-old woman originally from Haiti has been turned to the custody of federal immigration authorities"

"An attorney for one of the women said that the reason for the delay in her release has been concerns for her safety and trying to find a safe housing situation for her."

The only reason they haven't been released is concern for their safety because of the backlash and death threats. They are trying to find them safe places to live.

“The judge who issued the order in this case has received death threats, and there has been a tremendous amount of backlash,”

The judge has allowed them to be released.

It sounds like the judge doesn't have much of a choice in the matter, but I don't disagree that these women shouldn't be released unless evidence shows that they were, in fact, also victims of abuse.
