Hey, that's Rowdy Roddy Piper and some aliens, and Guinan. Don't recognize those other ladies, but I've heard of their show. Great meme - you got the perfect screen-shots of Roddy for it too. :-)

Actually, I don't recognize most of those ladies either...I'm guessing you don't know Phineas J. Whoopee, Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumlee, but I had to try. :)

No, I remember them because I watched those cartoons as a kid. Remember Simon Bar Sinister? And The Wayback Machine? And Dick Dastardly and Dudley Doright? And his boss, Major Minor? There was some dog, too. He had a spinning tail and he snickered a lot. Maye his name was Snickers? I forget.

I also remember Natasia, Bori, Bulwinkle and Rocky. And Crazy Cat and Minute Mouse and Underdog, Gigantor, Speed Racer, and Felix the Cat.

But that's it. That's everything, almost. :-)

Tooter Turtle and Mr. Wizard The Lizard predated Tennessee Tuxedo. The dog with the spinning tail was Muttley (Dick Dastardly's dog) although he didn't get his spinning tail until after The Wacky Races. They had a spinoff cartoon, Dastardly And Muttley And Their Flying Machines (Catch that pigeon), and must have decided that Muttley should be able to fly. Great list of cartoons and characters...can't believe someone else remembers Gigantor (The space age robot, he's at your command) :)

I remember Catch That Pigeon and Wacky Races with Penelope Pitstop. We also had Casper, Simba (a female lion), and Marine Boy. He had some kind of magic gum that let him breathe under water. And a boomerang strapped to his arm.

But Gigantor was my favorite when it was on. Just two levers on his controller, and he could do everything. Well, 'space-age' explains that I guess.

There was a Gigantor movie, probably around 10 or 15 years ago. Didn't see it, but I had to give it an honorable mention.

I was never into The Smurfs. By then, cartoons had changed from the old style into something... different. I prefer the Road Runner, Pink Panther, Tom and Jerry, anything with Mel Blanc, and the whole Loony Tunes style.

Those newfangled cartoons just did not amuse me. Back in my day, cartoons were funny! :-)

The creators of The Rocky And Bullwinkle Show produced three of my all-time favorite cartoons: "Superchicken" (my personal favorite), "George Of The Jungle" and "Tom Slick". I remember The Wacky Races and Penelope Pits top was in a spinoff, The Perils Of Penelope Pits top complete with the Anthill Mob from The Wacky Races and a villain voiced by Paul Lynden (and yes he was "villainy"). I don't remember Simba, but "Marine Boy" was on before school as was "Star Blazers" although I didn't really watch them because they were up against J. P. Patches which was must see TV for every kid in western Washington (and a heckuva lot of their parents) :)

WE had "George Of The Jungle" And "The Perils of Penelope Pitstop" too. I don't remember "The Anthill Mob" or "Tom Slick", although that name sounds familiar. I did an image search, but don't recognize the guy. Maybe he was West Coast only? "Star Blazers" too. We definitely didn't have that one out East. :-)

The Anthill Mob drove car #7 in The Wacky Races. The leader, Clyde, was a knockoff of Edward G. Robinson and voiced by Paul Winchell. After The Wacky Races they tried to help Penelope Pitstop from the villain voiced by Paul Lynde (not Paul Lynden)

Hmm. I must have seen them then. Sadly the memories have been washed away, into the mists of time. :-p

Oops, forgot to mention: I don't remember seeing Tooter Turtle and Mr. Wizard The Lizard. I don't think I've ever heard of them. Maybe I was too young?

Thanks for the info. :-)

I'll bet his nuts were in even worse shape than his face. That other dud was hammering away at them with his knee. Wait, I think I see one of his nuts, up in his cheek. :-)

LOL! You made me think with that one. Took me two or three attempts before it kicked in. Like Roddy's nuts were. ;-p

...says Frank Drebbin...beans and Frank's is from "There's Something About Mary". If you haven't seen it you might want to check out the first twenty minutes or so. If it's your kind of humor it's a great movie, if not I wouldn't watch the whole thing waiting for it to get better. :)

Sounds interesting. I will add it to the list. If it's anything like the Airplane movies I will love it. :-)
