They were exploring a cave when a monsoon came and flooded the cave. The cave is really big and they are way in the back of the cave on a ledge where the water can't get to them. About half of them are already out of the cave now.

Don't do stupid things and good men wont have to die trying to save you.
OK, first of all, it was a monsoon, which is just a seasonal rain. Second of all, what they did was the smartest thing to do in the situation they were in. They got to higher ground when the cave was flooding. I do agree with the second bit though.

I couldn't figure out how to spell monsoon so I used hurricane instead XD (autocorrect didn't pick up my mansoon spelling).
Higher ground was a good idea, going into the very back part of a cave was stupid. That was one dimensional thinking.
'Hmm the entrance to this cave is filling up with water. Let's go deeper into the cave because it's uphill and ignore the fact that the entrance will flood and we'll be trapped.'
I also will do that. Because that never happened b4 and I don't have any experience regard it. It's easy to talk, but when you are in his shoe. Sometimes you won't able to think clearly

Thinking clearly under stress is what I do. I suppose most people aren't made for it. The guy failed hard and cost a man his life. Nearly killed a bunch of kids. Those parents need to jump him.
the recent articles all talk about how the rescue efforts are going and don't even put a sentence about how they got there. I watched a video of it and only found out from the comments section. The fact that they keep saying "Thai kids football team" makes it more confusing, as if it had something to do with playing football.
