Maybe its a regional issue but the soccer moms and limousine liberals in Long Island want to ban plastic drinking straws because they tend to wash up on the shore.

OR ANY OTHER PLASTICS!!

Apparently, plastic that sinks or drifts out to sea it's not worthy of legislation in these here parts! :/
