If someone didn't invade a country, kill all the natives and then set up borders, no one would be "illegal"...

You do realize that we aren't the only country with borderlands, right?

Maybe if the natives had set borders and defended them, they wouldn't have had they're land stolen and been murdered in the first place. I am not going to punish myself for the crimes of my ancestors by resigning myself to the same fate as their victims.

That's a lazy position.

And they didn't kill ALL the natives, only some. Many died due to introduce diseases.
Many were taken and forced to assimilate to the new culture (as happens in invasions).
Those that were allowed to maintain some of their culture were forced onto small bits of land that were arbitrarily designated as "theirs"

a giant wall will also solve the separation problem.
