That's the point. The meme template is Anti-Joke Chicken, meaning that you set up a joke but then instead of a punchline you provide a reasonable explanation.

I think it's because I got one meme on the front page, and when that happens, more users go to your profile, and perhaps upvote your other memes, which is how I got 2 other memes on the front page after that.
