The way that reads to me is that "Blunt Weapon" is higher than all firearms except handgun or unspecified gun. However, if you have ever seen or completed a UCR form, it is a very generalized sort of reporting system. And I would like to get it side by side to the CDC info and bounce the dates and numbers off each other.
