Not sure why they left the head on it though. Nobody I know eats the head XD
That is why people tries to shoot for the head, so it won't damage the meat.
I don't remember if I have ever ate a squirrel but I did shoot one for a young American Kestrel Falcon I was taking care of for a while. Only I shot the squirrel in it's gut because I didn't want to miss. Then the darn thing broke in half while I was trying to skin it XD
But I got plenty of meat off for the Falcon. Chopped it up in small chunks and let him eat it. I also gave it a dove and lots of grubs / worms.
