And most of them nowadays seem to either be about teh evul libruls and their gun control (which I don't support. I find the entire matter ridiculous) or batshit insane conspiracy theories. Or both.

Well,being a conspiracy theorist myself,I also agree there are insane ones

Some conspiracies are realistic. Some are batshit insane. Most of the ones on this site are the latter.

The ones I agree with:

9/11 is a fake terrorist attack

A vast majority(if not all) of the drugs/medication prescripted by pharmaceuts and doctors is innefective/harmful,and vaccines are highly dangerous

The New Order and everything about it

The entire Educational System is made to kill creativity of children and turn them into brainless slaves to capitalism

The ones I think are probable:

9/11 was used as an excuse to invade Iraq (whether it was a genuine attack or caused by the government is unclear)

The government is actively supressing thoughts of self-sufficiency and technologies that will aid in self-sufficiency, and is actively encouraging thoughts of dependency and technologies (such as self-driving cars etc) that lead to dependency. They are also actively suppressing transhumanism.

The "Illuminati" an "New World Order" conspiracies almost always seem to be espoused by religious people (such as smloko), and were probably intentionally designed to cause fundamentalists to revolt due to paranoia-mongering from their leaders and induce a world-spanning (or, at the very least, America-spanning) theocracy. "Globalism" is another such bogeyman.

The world is already a Cyberpunk dystopia (although it does have some perks).

I remember a story about Tesla inventing a machine called Ether,able to create pure energy out of almost nothing! Of course,the government couldn't allow such a thing since it would mean a great loss of money for them,and so they banned the invention and literally deleted the term "ether".So yeah,everything you said in the second paragraph,I agree 100%
