By the time Jesus was born all of the books of the prophets, the genelogies, psalms, proverbs etc were written down.

Saying that nobody in the Bible had a Bible is like saying that nobody in LoTR never read LoTR! It's simply logical!

Actually, most of the Bible was already written before or around A.D. 75 (give or take a few years), so I'm willing to bet that at least ONE of the Christ followers that Paul addresses in his letters got the chance to read all the of the Old and New Testaments.

(p.s.: the info I got on the time of the writing of the New Testament is based on research found in a book titled "I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist." It's been a while since I read it though, so I don't remember all the particulars)

They didn't have literal books, either. Just scrolls, parchments, etc. Why is power metal head part of the tags? LOL
