Yup. We were playing at a casino and this happened and hour before showtime. Drunk roadie knocked over the hi-hat stand with the cymbals on it and it landed on my thumb. The thing had been promoted for weeks and we were already paid, bad for PR to bail at the last minute. So yeah, I had to play the show.

But more importantly, how were the cymbals?

What’s the name of your band and what kind of music do you play?

I'm a country singer. You probably never heard of me. But yeah, I know have four steel pins in my thumb and the doc says it was "trashed." She also says if I ever play guitar again she will eat her sock, so I told her to get some fruity tasting ones.

The magic of music!

It sounds cliche but the show must go on. Everybody except my bass player thought I was gonna bail to go to the ER. He knows me better than anyone and he knew that I refuse to be that guy. I did play my red Les Paul all night because it kinda hid the blood, I couldn't tune a Floyd, and my white Charvel would have looked like a Gwar show. The casino housekeeping staff followed me around mopping up blood.

Lol it would have looked like a GWar show? My dad likes GWar
