1. the Grass to the Right being thicker, would imply something was there before the picture was taken that Hindered mowing...
2. Part of me wants to say that this might be a legal thing... if you put up a token barrier, no matter how easy to bypass, anyone 'going around' is making a conscious effort to enter the area on the other side of that barrier... ie no one can wander in by accident and then claim "well there was nothing to indicate I shouldn't be here"
